CAN I COME FOR COUNSELLING IF I AM NOT SURE WHY, BUT I FEEL THE NEED TO TALK TO SOMEONE?
Once you feel something doesn't sit right with you, or you feel a need to talk, or you're not functioning at your best, it might be a good idea to consider seeking counselling.
IS IT SAFE TO TALK ABOUT THINGS I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TELL ANYONE?
Counselling provides a safe environment to talk about anything you might be going through, in a confidential and non-judgmental space. Remember, SALAMA means SAFE.
IS VIRTUAL COUNSELLING LESS EFFECTIVE THAN FACE TO FACE?
They are both effective. They are just two different modes. Some find virtual counselling more convenient because they can do the sessions from any location.
MUST I BE GOING THROUGH PROBLEMS TO COME FOR COUNSELLING?
I believe problems should not be the only reason for one to seek therapy. Through counselling, you can gain insights into your personal growth, develop strategies for handling positive life events, evaluate your life's direction and reflect on your overall well-being.
CAN I RECOMMEND SOMEONE TO COME FOR THERAPY?
You may recommend an individual to the service, bearing in mind it is ultimately their decision to have the therapy.
